The problem

Airports consist of thousands of measurement points, sensors and data which are critical to gain full overview of operative status. The less complex, however, the easier it is for air traffic controllers to act, predict and control airfield equipment.

The solution

The Insero Remote Control and Monitoring System (RCMS), provides more than just an Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS), and unifies all systems in one solution helping air traffic controllers work smarter and increase safety.

Insero RCMS is a cost-effective, configurable system that gives air traffic controllers full overview of all relevant airside ground equipment – independent of equipment manufacturer and ranging from airstrips to multiple runway CAT I/II/III airports and remote towers.

Full overview of operative and technical status with one system

With Insero RCMS, it is possible to control several airport systems in one unified system which enables more efficient operations. It is the perfect tool for controlling and monitoring airport systems for NAVAIDS, runway lights, taxiway lights, stopbars etc. and whether for state-of-the-art individual LED lamp solutions and/or legacy lamp solutions.

Insero RCMS has also been integrated for Remote Tower operations.

Reduce downtime and increase safety

With modern technical and performance monitoring features, Insero RCMS offers, individual lamp monitoring, real-time error logging and alerts when equipment is down. In that way, you can reduce down-time on equipment and enable air traffic controllers and technical staff to take immediate action when safety issues occur. The performance and operation of equipment is documented for evaluation and decision making, including detailed data for asset management.

Control and maintain airfield equipment efficiently

Insero RMCS gives air traffic controllers full and comprehensive control of all equipment on airside area. The control can either be of individual equipment or multiple groups of equipment. Regardless of whether for state-of-the-art individual LED lamp solutions and/or legacy lamp solutions.

During all change of settings, the system will monitor all processes and ensure that procedures and requirements to response time meet. Any malfunction will be reported as an error or warning depending on the severity of the malfunction.

Complete overview

All functionalities are controlled, and the real-time status is displayed on the geographical map which gives the air traffic controller a complete overview.

  • Touchscreen – provides quick, efficient and accurate handling for single or multiple touchscreen control stations can be integrated
  • Integrated status for Airfield Ground Lights, Instrument
Landing System, NAVAIDS, generators/power, surveillance and e.g. A-SMGCS
  • Surveillance of aircraft and vehicles is supported via Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast (ADS-B) interface and map visualisation
  • Alarm capabilities and event filtering provides the flexibility to control messages to the airport traffic
    control tower and maintenance
  • The modular software design can integrate seamlessly with existing systems and enables integration possibilities for the future upgrades
  • Controls are conveniently arranged for maximum safety and usability - customizable building blocks for easy adaption to customer needs
